Legendary figurines by Les Etains du Graal - King Arthur on his throne
King Arthur is the son of Uther Pendragon and Ygerne.
Uther put Excalibur in a rock just before dying from his wounds.
It was Merlin who led Arthur to withdraw the magic sword and subsequently to become King of England.
This is an exceptional piece by Les Etains du Graal of King Arthur on his throne.
Thanks to the lower part of the throne, we get the impression that it was hewn out of a tree trunk.
Infront, the dragons head armrests display a well used shield in their grip.
knotwork decoration adorns the top of the armrests complete with horse heads. The sides are beautifully decorated with celtic knotwork.
As for King Arthur, he is simply magnificent.
A clear face, some intricate features, beautifully worked crown.
His costume smack of perfection in each feature.
Of course, the king stands out with his famous magic sword Excalibur.
All pieces beautifully hand finished
