Legendary figurines by Les Etains du Graal - Galahad with chair
Piece designed for the round table set by Les étains du graal.
Galahad was born to Lancelot and Ellan.
He is the youngest knight of the round table, known for being the "good knight" or "Galahad the chaste" according to the writings of Christian of Troyes. He is the only one able to sit in the perilous chair to King Arthur's right.
It was with Bors the Younger and Perceval that he attained the quest of the grail.
Sir Galahad is the only member of the round table to have looked into the holy cup. He dies from it.
In the same manor as his comrades, Sir Galahad points his sword towards the centre of the table.
This figurine of Galahad is packed with detail, decorations to his tunic, his chain mail, the sheath for his weapon and his long cape.
His facial features show a youth uncommon to the other knights.
The Knights' chairs are distinguished by their simplicity, and this increases their charm, I love it!!
A reinforced pin under one foot allows the figurine to be placed securely in its allotted place at teh round table.
