The first coat of arms which dates from 1173 for Dol archbishop's palace was of the slim head part of the ermine (red with ermine diamond shape). The second was divided with silver and ermine heads. Yoran Delacour was inspired to create the black ermine paws in the white sections reflecting those featured on the coat of arms belonging to the town of Dol. Today's graphics were designed by Yoran Delacour in 1996.

This Flag flies since 2008.
